In the future, car are no longer driven by people. Technology has evolved enough to allow for the creation of AI cars that are capable of driving and navigating themselves. However, when the AI cars go out of control - the Ex-Driver's must stop them. Ex-Driver's are the only people who are capable of driving older mechanical cars with no AI, which allows them to stop the rouge AI system cars.
